Wherever we go with our llamas, we get lots of questions about them
and what we do with them. Yet another wonderful thing about llamas
that many people do not know is that llama manure is among the
very best for outdoor and indoor gardening!
Llamas have a special digestive system that is different from that
of cows, horses, sheep, etc. It causes llama manure to be high in
nitrogen, which is excellent for plants, yet it does not have to be
aged before you can apply it to plant roots. Most other types of
livestock manure has to be aged first, or it will burn the roots.
With llama manure, you can apply it immediately to your plants
fresh, dry, or you can even mix up a llama "tea" to nourish your
indoor plants without any odor issues.
